D. Clayton Hoyle
Vice President, Partner and Business Development
Clayton is a Co-founder of EDmin, Inc. and a guiding force in launching partnerships with a variety of companies, from startups to Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft and Compaq.
He is responsible for developing strategic opportunities to share EDmin’s capabilities with companies that share our vision for providing easy to use technology to the K-20 market.
Clayton served as EDmin's President from the Company’s inception in 1989 through August 2001. Under his leadership, EDmin grew to be a major corporate player in the field of educational technology. His background in financial management and human behavior/psychology provides a blend of technical and interpersonal skills that proved to be invaluable in starting and sustaining EDmin.com.
From 1978 to 1989, Clayton served at National University in San Diego, Calif., in various executive management positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance. As one of National University’s key executives, he assisted it in growing from one site with 500 students to the third largest private university in California with more than 60 sites and 12,000 students.
Clayton has served on numerous boards for non-profit and professional organizations, including the San Diego School of Christian Studies, Corporate Finance Council, YMCA, and METRO. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University in Chico in 1975 and his Master’s degree of Business Administration from National University in 1984.
